Shipping: All of the books are packaged and ready to ship! That was quite a process in itself. Thanks to my parents for all their help with that stage. Covers approved and being foil stamped! Books are printed and folded and sewn to hardcovers. Books currently being wrapped in canvas covers. I’ll keep it short. The book was scheduled for its first press check on Tuesday of this week but that got pushed back due to the printer having some major issues (a long story). Hopefully I will be down to the printer’s again on Monday of next week.. Positive thoughts! The proofs will serve as a guide for the printer to match color and pagination. The next step will be for the printer to make cmyk plates for each sheet and start printing. Phew, the content of book 1 is DONE! Only 104 pages of profusely illustrated life-consuming dreamy richness. No biggie. What a load off. Can’t wait to get the book in your hands! I’m very proud of it. Getting close! Overcame a major hurdle in the manufacturing of the book last week. I have a 3 page foldout that needed to land at a certain page number in order for it to glue into the correct place between signatures (book lingo!). Wrapping this beast up! I have recently acquired a project manager to head up the printing process and make sure things get done on time. This is a blessing. My artist brain is pretty great at coming up with ideas and pretty terrible at organizing them.
