Batch Two Shipping, New FTP Feature, and a USB Add-on
It has been a wild few weeks of programming, boxing, and labeling. We have been working hard to ship out batch two. We'll also have news about upcoming features and add-ons. Read the full update.
Batch Two Production Update
Over the past month we’ve been hard at work pushing on the manufacturing and software fronts, and overall things are on schedule. We have finalized the rear I/O plate design, received the mounting frames and drive plugs, updated the Ethernet sub-board, and continue to publish new software features for FlippyDrive. Batch Two In Production
We've been hard at work over the last few weeks and have lots of exciting news! Over the last 2-3 weeks, batch 1 was delivered to the first round of backers, several weeks ahead of schedule. We did identify a factory programming issue affecting 3-4% of the flippydrives with affected users given a replacement, and we now have better coverage to ensure it doesn't happen going forward. Since the campaign closed, we've been busy securing components and placing orders for batch 2 and beyond. We're happy to report that we've secured all our long lead electrical components, with only one straggler now on the way to the assembler. Read the full update.
First Batch Shipping Shortly
We've just received final approval and shipped out the first 1000 FlippyDrives to Crowd Supply for distribution. If you are in the "November" batch, make sure your account and shipping information are still correct as it's expected that these will begin shipping to you in the next week or so.
