QMK Firmware
Out of the box, all kits of ANAVI Macro Pad 8 are powered by the popular open source QMK firmware. Although QMK is very powerful and flexible, it might be a challenge to get used to it if you haven't used it before. Over the next weeks and months, as part of efforts for increasing the documentation related to ANAVI Macro Pad 8, we will be rolling out updates related to QMK. Read the full update.

Manufacturing Progress
We received all of the boards for ANAVI Macro Pad 8 from the local factory in my hometown Plovdiv, Bulgaria, EU. We flashed the open source QMK firmware with the default keymap and tested all developer kits. The next steps are to package them with bubble wrap in our recyclable cardboard boxes, then to prepare the mini OLED displays and to process the maker kits. Read the full update.
Manufacturing News
Good news: the first batch of ANAVI Macro Pad 8 gold-plated printed circuit boards (PCB) is ready. We received about 60 units from the local factory in Plovdiv, Bulgaria and we would like to explain in detail the whole manufacturing process. Read the full update.
Maker Kit Hot-Swap Upgrade Details
Hot-swappable mechanical keyboards allow you to replace switches and LEDs on-the-go without soldering or even powering off the keyboard. None of the ANAVI Macro Pad 8 kits support hot-swapping of switches out of the box, however this can be achieved with an upgrade of the maker kit. Keep in mind that this procedure requires additional components, tools, skills and time. Read the full update.
Sourcing Components
Following the successful end of this campaign we immediately started manufacturing and sourcing components. The acrylic enclosures and cardboard boxes for ANAVI Macro Pad 8 are ready and we received them this week. In the meantime the manufacturing of the gold-plated printed circuit boards (PCB) has started in Plovdiv, Bulgaria, EU. We expect the first batch in about 3 weeks. Read the full update.

Now you can order a maker kit with an extra add-on: Gateron red mechanical switches, translucent keycaps and 3mm red LEDs.
