Progress and Adjustments

by Dmytro K

Hello everyone,

It’s been over a month since our crowdfunding campaign ended, and it has been a very hot month for us, both literally and figuratively. We want to keep you informed about the progress and adjustments we’ve made to ensure the delivery of your True Wireless Valve (TWV) is as smooth as possible.

We’re currently in the critical phase of finalizing every aspect to prepare for the assembly of all devices, which will take place in our office. We’ve already ordered all the key components with the longest lead times. However, this stage hasn’t been without its surprises.

Valves: Adjustments and Supplier Changes

One of the key challenges we encountered was with our valve supplier, who significantly increased production times due to our reduced order volume. Fortunately, we managed to quickly secure a new supplier, though the new valves have slightly different dimensions. This will require us to make some adjustments to our housing design. Thankfully, we’re using MJF (Multi Jet Fusion) printing at this stage, which allows for more flexibility than mold casting would. This method ensures that we can adapt quickly and continue moving forward without major delays.

Housing: Iterations and Improvements

We also received a small batch of housings printed in white from our supplier. The appearance was satisfactory, but there were a few dimensions that didn’t meet necessary tolerances. We’re currently working on optimizing the positioning and printing settings to address these issues.

Once these corrections are made, we will place a full order for the housings. This iterative approach ensures that the final product meets our standards for quality and durability.

PCB: Expanding Future Potential

Lastly, we’re in the process of finalizing our PCB development. Given that we’re still waiting valve delivery, we’ve decided to expand the memory on our board, which will allow for greater flexibility and potential future upgrades. We’ll verify these changes with a small batch before proceeding with the full production run.

The launch of the TWV is just the beginning. We are already exploring additional features and enhancements that we plan to roll out in future updates.

Stay tuned!
