When I learned from other makers in the 3D printing community about the technique of 3D printing directly onto fabric, I was fascinated and inspired. I immediately began experimenting with it, and after many tests and experiments I challenged myself to make an entire wearable garment with the technique. This dress is the result of that project: a complete wearable dress (in two pieces) made entirely from panels of 3D printed fabric (the 3D printed designs are printed directly onto the fabric). The dress consists of two pieces (top and skirt), is lined with silk, and features two invisible zippers at the back. See sophywong.com/thedress.
