We are grateful for the support we have received so far and excited to continue this journey with you. After carefully evaluating our project needs, engaging in extensive negotiations with our suppliers, and discussing the matter with Crowd Supply, we have decided to reduce our funding goals from its original target to $10,000. We believe this change better aligns with our primary goal of bringing HealthyPi Move to life.
In the interest of transparency, we want to share the reasons behind this decision:
Our belief in the product - First and foremost, we have unwavering confidence in HealthyPi Move. This innovative, open-hardware device, designed with cutting-edge technology and both finger and wrist PPG sensors, offers clinical-grade accuracy. This sets it apart from traditional smart watches. Our commitment to delivering a high-quality, reliable product remains as strong as ever. By reducing our funding goal, we aim to ensure that all our backers can experience the benefits of HealthyPi Move sooner.
Updated supplier agreements - We have been in discussions with our suppliers to optimize costs and timelines. During our campaign, we have engaged in productive conversations with our suppliers. Initially, the higher funding goal was set to meet the minimum order quantities (MOQ) required to secure significant component discounts that allowed us to produce HealthyPi Move at this cost. However, recent negotiations have led to a more favorable arrangements. Our suppliers have expressed their support for HealthyPi Move and have agreed to provide the necessary components without enforcing stringent MOQs. This flexibility allows us to lower our funding goal while still ensuring access to high-quality materials at competitive prices.
Our investment in the project - Although new supplier arrangements have given us more room to maneuver, they still don’t cover the entire shortfall. We have already invested a significant amount of time and resources in the development of HealthyPi Move, however. We have been working tirelessly to bring this product to life, and we are committed to seeing it through to the end. We are confident that HealthyPi Move will be a game changer in the wearable health-monitoring space and are prepared to pick up the tab for the shortfall if necessary.
What this means for you - By lowering the funding goal, we can now assure you that HealthyPi will become reality even if we don’t reach our original target. We are excited to have you on board and look forward to sharing the rest of this journey with you. If you have already backed the project, you can rest assured that you are getting the same HealthyPi Move you signed up for, no matter what our final funding level ends up being.
We are grateful for your continued support and excited to make HealthyPi Move a reality. Thank you for being a part of this adventure with us. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out. We will be posting another update soon about some more exciting new design changes coming to HealthyPi Move. So stay tuned!
