Hello everyone,

This will be the last update during the crowdfunding phase of our campaign, and we want to say thank you! Thank you for the interest, for the support, and for the suggestions. And, of course, thank you for helping us meet our funding goal so we can bring Vapor Phase One to the world! To conclude our crowdfunding effort, we thought it would be appropriate to present some photographs of our latest soldering results.

Over the past few months, while working on Vapor Phase One, we’ve also done quite a lot of work with it. We’ve soldered a number of boards that present various challenges. Below are a few examples (you can click on each image to see it full-sized):

That last board was particularly challenging, not because of high thermal masses, but because it features so many fine pitch components, including some high density connectors for which a good soldering process is a must. We have successfully processed BGAs with a pitch of 0.35 mm and board-to-board connectors with a pitch of 0.4 mm.
