Hi all,
Today’s the last day of the ThunderScope campaign and, thanks to all of your support, an amazing start to a long journey. At the end of this journey, we will have made open source hardware the best choice in test equipment for a majority of hackers, makers, and engineers - just like RepRap did for 3D printing.
I’ll keep the updates coming until then, so stay subscribed to keep me company on this rollercoaster ride of manufacturing and logistics (I swear it’s more interesting than it seems) and to keep hearing from our community devs about their excellent work on the software side of things.
Speaking of logistics, I want to let everyone know that the unit prices are going to increase after the campaign - from $800 to $950 for ThunderScope PCIe and from $950 to $1150 for ThunderScope. We will be making the exact same margin on these units, we just need to cover the standard 30% margin Crowd Supply requires for post-campaign distribution. The good news is it’ll also be available on Mouser, so ordering it will be much easier if you want to use them at work or in education.
Thank you all again for letting me make my obsession a reality, and to the community around this project for saving it from becoming another story of what could have been. I promise to do right by all of you.
-Aleksa
