We hope you’re doing well! It’s been a few weeks since our last update, and we want to thank those of you who have reached out regarding the status of your Stratus Pro nRF9161 kits. We understand how eager you are to receive your devices, and we’d like to provide a transparent update on where things stand.

Status Update: Stratus Pro nRF9161 Kit

Originally, we planned to deliver the Conexio Stratus Pro kit to the Crowd Supply warehouse by early September. This estimate was based on the timely availability of components, manufacturing, and testing processes. Unfortunately, we encountered unforeseen delays due to critical component acquisition, export restrictions, and customs hold-ups. These issues have added about 3-4 weeks to our production schedule.

The good news: the components have finally cleared customs, and we’ve already begun the PCB assembly! This brings us closer to the finish line, though it does mean we’ll likely be shipping the Stratus Pro kits to our backers by early October 2024 at the earliest.

We know this isn’t the news you were hoping for, and we sincerely apologize for the delay. Some factors, like global logistics, are beyond our control, but rest assured we’re doing everything in our power to speed things up. Thank you for your patience and support—we’ll keep you updated as soon as we have a confirmed shipping date!

Even with the shipping delay, the Stratus Pro kit is making waves in the tech community! Recently, Ian Buckley from Electromaker reviewed our flagship cellular device. Updated Sample Applications & Firmware

We’ve also been hard at work upgrading our Stratus firmware SDK with the latest sample applications and examples. With the new Hardware Model v2 (HWMv2) in Zephyr RTOS and the nRF Connect SDK (NCS v2.7.x), we’ve redesigned how board definition files and sample apps are fetched. You’ll find all the latest improvements and how-tos in our documentation.
