We finalized the design for our custom-manufactured vacuum heads last week. We’re milling the aluminum head plates right now, and we’ll produce a video of the entire process, start to finish. Plastic parts will be fabricated as soon as we source the filament.

You can bolt one or two MGN9 rails to the aluminum plates, changing the machine configuration from single- to dual-head at any time. In dual-head mode, the nozzle travel is 28 mm with 47.5 mm between tips. An LXW5 (Omron Z-size style) limit switch is used for the homing process.

Also, we’ll soon be relasing both a video and a manual on how to set up and operate the OpenPnP vacuum heads.
