The PCBs are officially in production! Once manufacturing is complete, PCBWay will move straight on to SMD assembly.
With Chinese New Year behind us and a few engineering questions sorted, we’re now full steam ahead. It’s been fascinating to see the differences between prototyping 5–10 boards and scaling up to a full production run of 300. The learning never stops…
Right now, I’m eagerly awaiting the first assembled boards and hoping that my final design tweaks pay off. Everything is looking good so far, and I’m excited to see the results!
To keep things smooth—and to ensure I have enough time for final assembly and packing here in the UK—I’ve let Mouser know we’re aiming to ship to them at the start of May. We originally planned for April, and if everything lines up perfectly, that’s still possible. But I’d rather play it safe and make sure everything is spot on before it reaches you.
Meanwhile, I’m making great progress on the firmware and website, with more updates coming soon. Stay tuned!
As always, I truly appreciate your support: this project wouldn’t be possible without you. Can’t wait to share more soon!
Here’s a great video here where Phil’s Lab goes on a tour of the PCBWay factory:
