Each of the keys on ANAVI Macro Pad 2 can be reprogrammed for use as a macro or even as a dedicated shortcut key, making it perfect for a number of applications across various industries.
Whether you want to speed up copying and pasting, simplify common video conferencing functions, "mute" cameras and microphones, or give pride-of-place to your favorite emojis—to name just a few examples—ANAVI Macro Pad 2 lets you do it in style. Multiple pre-made keymaps are available for working with popular software like Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, Jitsi, Skype, and Git.
ANAVI Macro Pad 2 boosts your day-to-day productivity by putting an amazing level of control (and gorgeous lighting effects!) right there at your fingertips.
Getting started with ANAVI Macro Pad 2 is easy. It is powered by the advanced and yet easy-to-use Quantum Mechanical Keyboard (QMK) open source firmware. It works on Windows, MacOS, and GNU/Linux distributions.
To configure and modify the keyboard layouts you can use QMK Configurator, an online graphical user interface that generates QMK firmware hex files directly in a web browser. Or, if you prefer, you can use the source code.
ANAVI Macro Pad 2 is an entirely open source project that combines open hardware with free and open source software. It is certified by the Open Source Hardware Association (OSHA) under UID BG000077.
Only free and open source software tools like KiCad, OpenSCAD, and Inkscape were used to design ANAVI Macro Pad 2. Quantum Mechanical Keyboard (QMK) with V-USB is the default open source firmware. Source code and schematics are available on GitHub.
ANAVI Macro Pad 2 runs on a Microchip ATtiny85, which is a reliable, low-cost, 8-bit AVR RISC-based microcontroller. Although ATtiny85 is not as powerful as ATmega32U4 or ATmega328P, the affordable price, reliability, and small package makes it popular among both enthusiasts and professionals. ANAVI Macro Pad 2 uses the open source micronucleus bootloader with V-USB project, which provides a software-only implementation of a low-speed USB device.
ANAVI Macro Pad 2 is made in Plovdiv, Bulgaria in the EU and is packaged in a recyclable, eco-friendly cardboard box.
All kits of ANAVI Macro Pad 2 include Gateron red mechanical switches. These linear switches make the typing smoother and sound quieter. They are preferred choice for daily work and gaming.
ANAVI Macro Pad 2 is available in two do-it-yourself kits. None of these kits include the required USB-to-Micro-USB cable.

The Developer Kit does not require any soldering. It features Gateron Red mechanical switches and translucent keycaps with red backlighting. The Developer Kit is easy to get started with, and is perfect even for newbies. Just pop the keycaps on, and you’re ready to go!
The Maker Kit is for advanced users only. It requires soldering skills, but gives you the opportunity to change the color of the 3 mm LED backlights and swap out the mechanical switches, which are compatible with Cherry MX plates or PCB footprints. You can get everything you need from Mouser or some other distributors of electronic components. (You can even perform a hot-swap upgrade using the Maker Kit’s holtite sockets!)
Our crowdfunding campaign has a very modest goal of just $1, but if we raise:
There are literally hundreds of mechanical keyboards on the market, but ANAVI Macro Pad 2 is very compact, entirely open source, affordable, highly customizable, and still suitable for a wide range of applications. Furthermore, the developer kit is super easy to assemble and requires no soldering!
ANAVI Macro Pad 2 is an entirely open source project powered by the QMK firmware. Schematics and examples are available in our GitHub repositories. Please have a look at the following links:

Over the years, we have delivered many open source hardware products. In the process, we have established a reliable supply chain that ensures consistently high quality. We work with trusted local factories in Plovdiv, Bulgaria in the EU. ANAVI Macro Pad 2’s printed circuit board (PCB) has a green solder mask and a gold surface finish. Each board is carefully flashed and tested with the open source QMK firmware.
All ANAVI Macro Pad 2 kits will be shipped to our backers using Crowd Supply’s fulfillment services. Once manufacturing is complete, we’ll make a bulk shipment to Crowd Supply, and, from there, the packages will be shipped out to our individual backers. For more details, please have a look at this guide to ordering, paying, and shipping.
After months of development ANAVI Macro Pad 2 is a stable product. We have already manufactured a small batch to ensure that everything works correctly, and we are now ready for mass production!
We have lots of experience, from our previous crowdfunding campaigns, delivering projects on time, and even ahead of schedule. In 2020 we launched ANAVI Macro Pad 8, our first mechanical keyboard. Unfortunately, due to the global chip shortage and the ongoing COVID-19 outbreak, we are facing some new challenges this time. Sourcing Microchip ATtiny85s is the most significant issue at the moment, but we are in contact with our partners and suppliers. We have set estimated shipping dates for ANAVI Macro Pad 2 that are far out in the future. As we learn more, we will notify backers promptly through our regular campaign updates. In the unlikely event that we are entirely unable to deliver, we will of course offer backers a full refund.
