We'd like to thank all of the backers who have supported our campaign and everyone else who has given us sincere feedback about UltraMiner. Unfortunately, at the end of the day, we did not meet our campaign goal. And because we are up against a minimum order quantity, I am sorry to say that we will not be able to produce and deliver UltraMiner FPGA at this time. Future Algorithms & Final Prototype
The list of supported cryptocurrency algorithms shown on the campaign page – and highlighted in recent demonstrations – is far from complete. Based on our evaluation, there are hundreds of additional algorithms that are compatible with UltraMiner hardware. This update lists a small subset of those algorithms. A Single USB Connection for Everything
In this update, we will take a look at how our host software dynamically updates the clock frequency of the hashing core in a cryptocurrency algorithm, as well as the FPGA core voltage level, to achieve performance gains and to improve power efficiency. PCIe and GPIO Design Work for the Developer Edition
Our team is hard at work adding features to the UltraMiner FPGA Developer Edition. We have routed TX and RX lanes for PCIe and improved GPIO performance by switching to a tighter pitch connector. Read the full update.
Sortware Ported & New Mining Algorithm Developed
We have completed porting our host software and utility toolset to the embedded linux environment, and it all runs on a Raspberri Pi Zero. We've also developed an algorithm for Skein2 and used it to mine Woodcoin. Read the full update.

Our Campaign is Live!
After many months of development and a long wait, we are thrilled to announce the launch of our Crowd Supply campaign! UltraMiner is the first affordable, open-source FPGA development board powered by the latest Xilinx Kintex UltraScale+ FPGA. It ships with open-source cryptocurrency mining software, including pre-compiled bitstream files that work out-of-the-box with many popular cryptocurrencies. We also offer a Developer Version of the board – with PCIe support and additional IOs – that is perfect for prototyping high performance designs related to cryptography, software-defined radio, and machine learning.
