While we continue to be affected by the COVID-19 situation in India, including additional lockdowns, we have managed to carry out a series of three tests on each of the 192 maypoles produced in this batch. They are all working properly and we expect to pack them up and ship them to Crowd Supply before the end of the month. While PCB assembly should be completed by the end of next week, we will need some additional time for programming, testing, packaging, and shipping. One of our backers made a great suggestion: why not add GPIO expansion to Maypole? We liked the idea so much, we decided to do it! To that end, we designed a revision with four GPIO so that Maypole can be used to interface with sensors and other hardware add-ons. These pins can be used for SPI, I²C, UART, or analog input.
