Accelerating innovative FPGA designs to shape the future.
In this Teardown Session from Feb. 27, 2025, Crowd Supply’s Helen Leigh speaks with Dr. Andy Hass, creator of Haasoscope and Haasoscope Pro. With a whopping 2 GHz of bandwidth, the Haasoscope Pro is the first open-source, open-hardware, affordable, high-bandwidth, real-time sampling oscilloscope. In this wide-ranging conversation, Andy and Helen cover all things oscilloscope, from basic use cases to esoteric, high bandwidth design details. Plus live demos!
Haasoscope Pro is part of Altera Innovation Lab, sponsors of this week’s stream.
Andy Haas is a professor of Physics by day and open-source/open-hardware tinkerer by night. Andy holds a Ph.D. from the University of Washington and currently researches Experimental High-Energy Particle Physics and teaches at NYU. Andy was part of the team at CERN to discover the Higgs-Boson, and he says building an oscilloscope has helped him with his particle physics!
