wESP32 Boards & Hand-Soldered Perfection

Our batch of wESP32 boards has arrived and every single header has been meticulously hand-soldered: 2,870 individual connections in total. Ensuring each board is assembled to the highest standard is critical, so we’ve taken the time to do it right.

Firmware Refinements for a Seamless Experience

One of our goals is to make installation as straightforward as possible for all users, whether you’re a seasoned Home Assistant expert or just getting started. To that end, we’re undergoing an extensive review and rewrite of the pre-flashed firmware to streamline setup and ensure a smooth out-of-the-box experience. Every board will ship with a tested and optimized firmware build, so integrating your Hornet Nest Panel will be effortless.

Delays, Tariffs, and Our Commitment to You

Like many in the industry, we’ve faced global trade challenges that have caused delays. Due to rising tariffs and companies placing large advanced orders to secure stock, our production was delayed by over 30 days. However, we’re happy to report that the boards are now on their way and we are still on track to meet our expected delivery timeline.

Despite these challenges, we remain committed to keeping the Hornet Nest Alarm Panel affordable, feature-rich, and open-source. While others have raised prices due to tariffs, we are holding firm on our retail pricing. We will continue working with new suppliers and manufacturers to uphold this commitment while ensuring the highest level of quality.
