Hello,
It’s approaching the end of May and that means we’re not far away from Teardown 2024! We are excited to welcome you all. Here is some key information that will help you plan for the event.
Teardown 2024 will be held from 10am Friday 21st June until 3pm Sunday 23rd June. There will also be a number of related events before and after the official conference.
On Wednesday 19th June a collection of local hardware groups are hosting a pre-Teardown Hardware Happy Hour in the evening. On Thursday 20th June we will open our doors for pre-registration at noon. There will be no scheduled events that afternoon but you are welcome to hang out and hack. Thursday evening there will be a screening of the iconic 90s movie Hackers at OMSI, Portland’s science museum.
After the conference winds down on Sunday 23rd June the festivities will continue with an after party at Ground Kontrol. Monday 24th June we will line up a couple of fun suggestions for people still in town, including a Protopasta factory tour in the morning.
To talk to staff, attendees and presenters before, during and after Teardown 2024, you can join the conversation in the Teardown 2024 category on the Crowd Supply Discord. You can also join our Signal group chat to stay up-to-date.
Please follow us, tag us and use the hashtag #Teardown2024!
We will provide food all day Friday, all day Saturday and until lunchtime on Sunday. We order delicious food from local providers. There will be plant-based, vegetarian, and gluten-free options at each meal. If you are vegetarian, vegan, require gluten-free food, or have any other food requirements, please give us a heads up by going to editing your preferences under your Teardown ticket on your user account page.
Please set your T-shirt size by editing your preferences under your Teardown ticket on your user account page.
If you’re coming from out of town the Hilton Double Tree or Marriott Courtyard are close to the venue and nice. You could also choose to take the tram in to the venue and stay in one of the hotels or hostels in the Pearl District (for example The Hoxton or The Society).
We will be in touch again soon to share the schedule, helpful maps, workshop booking links, and more!
