SlimeVR team here with a quick update on the current state of things, and as a follow-up to the previous update.

Certification Progress

The FCC certification process has been more difficult than we expected. We had some unforeseen problems related to certifying the ESP8266 that we use as SlimeVR’s module. We will definitely share more about our experience later to help future small creators with that. That said, all testing is done, all paperwork is done, and we will submit the papers to FCC in the next few days after some more checks.

We’re receiving new labels with the new FCC ID in the next couple of days, and we will start re-labeling all the Slimes that we have, including the S3 that should return to us also within the next couple of days (unsurprisingly, it took UPS almost two months to get it back to us, and we’re still waiting it to clear customs in Amsterdam).

Because of these delays, the estimated shipment date on Crowd Supply for what we have currently assembled is moving from November 30 to December 29. As before, we’re committed to ship everything we have as soon as possible, and as soon as we get the FCC certifications, Slimes will ship to Crowd Supply & Mouser to be delivered to you.

Other Updates

There is a lot of stuff happening for the project every day, and this update is only a small part of it. We will post a full rundown of the current status and what the future holds after we’re done with FCC and when Slimes continue being shipped. In the meantime, you can read updates as they happen in our Discord server.
