The holiday season is in full swing: we’ve doubled the DDR4 RAM from 8 GB to 16 GB for all HiFive Unmatched kits without increasing the price at all. This change will make Linux development and compilation a lot easier, as we’ve heard from several Linux distribution developers.

Between the RAM upgrade and lead times for a few other components being longer than quoted, we’ve pushed the delivery date by about six weeks to the end of February.
