Update 20 of 23
Welcome new projects, Spacewalker LNA 434 MHz and LimeNet Micro 2.0, catch up on livestreams, LimeRFE now in stock.
Spacewalker LNA 434 MHz is a new addition to Qorvo RF Accelerator that combats real-world satellite reception difficulties by receiving otherwise weak signals in areas with a lot of RF interference. In urban environments, it’s often difficult to receive PocketSat and CubeSat signals amidst strong DVB-T, TETRA, FM, and LTE signals from densely packed transmitter towers. The project was inspired by attempts to pick up signals from the MRC-100 pocket satellite. After many experiments and measurements, a novel low-noise amplifier circuit was devised to help city dwellers cut through the RF chatter.
Crowd Supply’s Helen Leigh spoke with Spacewalker LNA creator, Zoltan Doczi, a Senior RF Engineer at Decent Labs in a recent episode of The Teardown Sessions.
Lime Microsystems is back with LimeNET Micro 2.0, a modular radio platform that leverages the Raspberry Pi CM4 and LimeSDR XTRX for their respective computing and RF features. It’s an ideal tool for a wide range of wireless applications ranging from experimental deployments to real-world enterprise installations.
LimeRFE is now in stock! LimeRFE is an open hardware power amplifier (PA) module with appropriate filtering and support circuitry to augment a number of SDR platforms, providing a complete solution that addresses real life applications ranging from HAM radio to standards-compliant cellular network implementations.
