Project update 11 of 13
We’re back to production. Like much of the world facing the COVID-19 crisis, India was in total lockdown starting on March 23, and was only recently "unlocked" (with the exception of a few "containment zones") on June 1. There still are some restrictions on operation and on the shipping of goods to different regions, but it’s manageable.
We knew the importance of maintaining accurate inventory management to avoid disappointing our customers, especially those who were relying on our products during this challenging time. Unfortunately, because supply chains and stock levels were affected by COVID-19 and the lockdowns in various countries, we ended up a few parts short. At this time, however, we are happy to announce that we’re back!
In short, we have now shipped enough units to Crowd Supply to fill all backorders! They are on their way as you read this and should begin shipping out to customers in the coming weeks.
While the world was locked down, we’ve been busy working on our software and will soon announce a new GUI app with some additional features, including data recording. Expect an update soon.
If you’ve have had trouble setting up HealthyPi in the past, or want a quick solution that just runs out of the box, check out HealthyPi’s own distribution of the Raspberry Pi OS, which includes everything HealthyPi needs to have configured or installed. Like Raspbian, it is based on Debian Linux. Just burn it to an SD Card (remembering to choose custom image before burning), put that card into into your Raspberry Pi, and power it up.
You can download it now from our GitHub Releases Page.
Thank you for your patience and support while we get through this crisis together. We very much appreciate those of you who were able to keep your orders active despite the delays.
Don’t forget to stay tuned for an update soon about our new software enhancements!
