View Purchasing OptionsProject update 4 of 9
Aloha, and welcome to my third update, which features a silly idea that demonstrates a use for the Epi.
Yep, that’s a tiny replica of a SPAM can. What does it do? It spams, of course.
I’ve never encountered this mystery meat myself, as it seems largely exclusive to the English-speaking world. I do have access to the internet, however, so I’m familiar both with the product and with its adoption, thanks to Monty Python, as the de facto word for annoying, repetitive messages.
As you can see above, this application demonstrates the use of Epi 32U4’s screw-mounting slots and protruding USB port. And those castellated headers made it easy to solder the button directly. (Yes, that’s an earlier version of the Epi. I gave away all of my new ones. I’ll talk about the issues with that older design in another update.)
This could as easily have been a tool to input a long message at the press of a button. Or some kind of badUSB device, if you’re into that sort of thing. (We take no responsibility for illegal or irritating uses of Epi 32u4.)
You can get the files here if you want them.
That’s all for today. See you in a week or so.
