Update 1 of 3
Check out the NRFICE Bluetooth-enabled FPGA dev board, a recap of Teardown 2023, a last call for a $20,000 design challenge, and Nordic’s upcoming Tech Tour in Europe and South Africa.
We are happy to welcome NRFICE to the Nordic Community Hub. NRFICE is a dongle-free FPGA dev board that uses the Nordic nRF5340 dual-core Bluetooth SoC to dramatically simplify development of edge computing and IoT products by enabling on-the-fly, over-the-air updating of the FPGA bitstream.
As described by the NRFICE creator:
With the Nordic nRF5340 as its central brain, NRFICE makes it possible to load a project into the onboard Lattice iCE40UP5K FPGA out of the box, bypassing the typical extensive toolchain setup. In this way, Nordic Semi enables a new class of FPGA development, where any number and variety of bitstreams are hosted in the cloud, selected by a user on their phone, and loaded wirelessly.
As a proud sponsor of Teardown 2023, Nordic hosted an info booth, showcasing the latest dev tools and components.
Applications are still open for the Connect for Good: Low Power Sustainability Challenge, launched by Nordic Semiconductor in partnership with Mouser Electronics, Soracom, and Crowd Supply. Organizations, individual engineers, start-ups, and students are invited to submit. Submit your projects before October 12th, 2023.
Meet in person with Nordic’s dedicated team as they hit the road, sharing the latest product updates and innovations across Bluetooth, cellular IoT, Wi-Fi, and more. Sharpen your skills and learn from Nordic experts. Newcomers welcome!
