In search of the perfect tracker

When I initially installed a GPS tracker on my drone as a backup tracker, I discovered that GSM-based GPS trackers don’t even operate outside of the urban areas, because most suburban regions lack GSM service. After speaking with other drone owners I decided that GSM-based trackers are useless. Also, other radio-based trackers are hard to use, with limited range and battery life. I learned that other drone owners were also looking for such a gadget to use, so I decided to build Loko, an extremely small, incredibly light GPS tracker that doesn’t require GSM coverage.

A new tracker is born

At first, I planned to release Loko at the beginning of 2022. Due to the widespread delays caused by the ongoing chip shortage, I worked hard to design the Loko tracker using readily available components. I have now completed all tests, and the Loko is ready for production. Thanks to my previous hardware production experience, I recognize how valuable a reputable manufacturing facility is. Therefore, I have set up the manufacturing facility, which includes an SMT production line and plastic case manufacturing equipment. I have complete control over production to ensure that every Loko is of the highest quality.
