Hi All! We’re super-excited to have launched our campaign for the best modular LED panel system out there. And speaking of modular, some of you may wonder about what version of the ULTiM8 bus board you’ll receive. Fear not! You’ll get the New Hotness for sure!

The bus bars shown in the photos and video are early prototypes. The current version is the rendered one shown below:

This version has additional mounting holes to allow for easy chaining of the bus bars. In addition, there is space to add headers to connect an Adafruit Feather directly onto your display. There is a spot to add a small SMD switch to toggle between the Feather’s battery power or USB power. There’s even a few spaces for push buttons and pull-up resistors, should you choose to get real fancy.

Note that the bus bars do NOT come with the headers, SMD buttons, the SMD switch, or SMD pull-up resistors. Since not everyone may use these features on every bus board, we opted to keep the overall cost down and leave these as optional extras for the end user to obtain. However, we have provided a complete Bill of Materials, should you wish to purchase all the necessary bits to fully utilize your ULTiM8 bus bars:
