In this video Andrew picks up where he left off with his blog post on building a remote radio head using LimeSDR, going on to show it being used to stream samples across the network to a laptop. An FFT application running on the laptop then uses OpenCL accelerated computation and OpenGL accelerated display, to provide a real-time spectrum analyser (RTSA)-like visualisation.
This demonstrates how incredibly simple it can be to create such a distributed system, where one host is equipped with LimeSDR hardware, while processing (DSP) is carried out on a different host. In this case pushing a respectable ~350Mbps of samples across the network!
