We are excited to announce that the RTK Rover is now available for crowdfunding on Crowd Supply. We would like to express our gratitude to all the interested parties for their support!
The RTK Rover is a low-power, user-friendly development kit that allows you to incorporate centimeter-accurate positioning to anything you design. With this kit, you can create a standalone RTK receiver similar to those used by professional surveyors in the field. Our Mini PCIe module features a dual-band LC29H GNSS module from Quectel, supporting all constellations. Additionally, our onboard inertial measurement unit (IMU) enables position tracking through dead reckoning when GNSS signals are temporarily lost.
Our compact dual-band antennas, which can be easily mounted using magnets, provide excellent signal reception for various applications such as cars, robots, drones, or backpacks. By receiving a GNSS correction stream, you can significantly improve your fixed RTK accuracy to within a few centimeters within just a few seconds. The EmbedCM RTK Evaluation Kit supports standard NMEA output messages and includes an open-source decoder and logger written in Node.js.
We also offer a Raspberry Pi HAT with a USB Type-C interface, event interface, odometer connection, and plug-and-play compatibility with Raspberry Pi 4B. With our sturdy metal enclosure, you can build your own professional-grade, high-accuracy GNSS receiver, complete with Ethernet, Wi-Fi, and USB connectivity. Normally, such a product would cost thousands of dollars!
You have the flexibility to choose between a USB or a more powerful Ethernet Pi4B-based device to take your project to the next level. Both versions come with built-in trial account access, providing centimeter-accurate precision, to the world’s largest decentralized GNSS reference network, GEODNET. With over 3000 reference stations online across every major continent, GEODNET is the world’s largest decentralized, real-time geo-spatial reference network. Explore the live reference station map at https://console.geodnet.com/map.
While RTK Rover is compatible with other network options, it’s worth noting that the cost may be up to 10 times higher compared to GEODNET, which offers a free trial for all RTK Rover backers.
Throughout our campaign, we will be providing a comprehensive range of in-depth tutorials to help you get started.
