View Purchasing OptionsProject update 7 of 11
Hello everyone, What a ride it has been! After six weeks, our Stratus campaign has concluded and has been successfully funded. A big thank you to everyone who has supported our project by backing, sharing, or spreading the word about it. We also thank the team at CrowdSupply for their immense support and guidance throughout our campaign. We look forward to delivering our Stratus kit to you as expected.
It’s no secret that electronics parts have been in considerable shortage for the past two years. This has hit all types of businesses in this niche, both small and large. Because of that, since the launch of the campaign, we’ve been focusing on buying the electronic parts needed for the boards. As we anticipated that the shortage was going to get worse, we already purchased most of the components. We are going to use all our capabilities and experience to avoid any delays, but as mentioned in the "Risks & Challenges" section of the campaign, there is still a significant risk there, considering the chaos with supply chains right now. The good news is we have secured the main nRF9160 SiP and the important power management ICs, so there should be no issues in that area.
From here we’ll be sharing progress as we move through the production phase. We also plan to give more walk-through tutorials on how to develop applications with Stratus using ZephyrRTOS. In addition, let us know if you have any questions and what other features and updates you would like (e.g., behind the scenes, deep dives, how to get started with certain sample apps, etc.). We are happy to hear your feedback and improve the Stratus further.
We believe that just like your IoT devices, your data should also be easily accessible anywhere and anytime. To this end, we have started developing a smart app for our users with which they can access their device data. This is our latest creation and is in the development phase now; we hope to release it at the time we start shipping our devices to the backers. More similar features are on our roadmap, so stay tuned and subscribe to the product newsletter for the latest announcements and updates.
That’s all for this week.
Once again, thank you all for your support.
