Project update 3 of 12
Happy holidays everyone!
Once again, sincerest thanks to everyone who has supported our book project so far. We truly hope that your family, friend, or loved one enjoys the gift of a copy of A Weather Walked In or print from Charlie Haughey’s collection. We’re so grateful that we’ve made over half the goal of our crowdfunding campaign, and we look forward to being able to deliver these gifts to your recipients this coming spring.
I must, however, stress once again that we need to reach our entire goal of $17,000 by January 10th in order to receive the funding needed to produce this book. I’m confident, through the outpouring of support we’ve seen so far, that we will make our total goal by the end date of our campaign. That being said, there is always the chance we won’t make our goal and we won’t be able to ship any of these incentives you’ve chosen purchase as a holiday gift. To me, it’s a terrible thought, but we have to be realistic and know that it could potentially happen.
But let’s not dwell on that. Like I said, I’m confident we’re going to reach $17,000 by the 10th of January.
If you’d like to help ensure we reach our goal by the campaign end date, share the story of Charlie’s photo collection with your friends and family. Share the crowdfunding campaign on social media, or A Weather Walked In your holiday dinner party talk topic! Tell your friends and family about it, talk about the importance and the beauty of the collection of photos, and urge them to support the campaign as well. Charlie and I are both so grateful for the support and the spread of the message about the photo collection and book.
With that, we have provided downloads for individual holiday cards letting your gift recipient know about the nature of their gift and its ship date. There are individual cards for digital and silver gelatin prints, and for each of the book mediums. Below are the cards for each book and print type. Download the card by "right clicking" and saving the card.
If there are any questions whatsoever, please don’t hesitate to email support@crowdsupply.com, and I will personally respond to your email as quickly as possible. I will be taking no breaks over the holidays and won’t rest until we’ve met our funding goal and ensured we’ll be able to make this project a success.
Wishing you all a peaceful holiday and a blessed new year,
Kris Regentin, Charlie Haughey, and the Chieu Hoi team.
