Project update 16 of 23
Time for another quick update on the TB Squeeze Packs.
We’ve made some great progress recently with our new manufacturing partner in Central CA. Both Brad and I have spent full days with the team over the past few weeks making final test batches to ensure the recipe is just right.
Once everything is dialed there, we’ll make last edits to the packaging artwork before placing an order for the material that will be formed into pouches during the filling process. Custom print plates made just for Trail Butter will be created which are pretty costly, so we wanted to make sure the recipe was just right before pulling the trigger on the printed packaging material. See below for the latest pouch design. Although the shape has changed, we’re still excited by the functionality and look of the pouch. Hope you like it too!
The lead time on the packaging material to make this pouch once ordered is 12-16 weeks we’re being told (April or May), We’ll do everything we can to reduce this time if possible.
With that remaining wait time mind, we’d love to get as many of you as possible the jars and pouches that were included in your campaign package in the meantime, so you can start enjoying the product you so generously supported.
For Portland-area residents, we would like to invite you to an event on January 28th at Base Camp Brewing we’re calling Adventure Yearbook. https://www.facebook.com/events/443138802505025/
This will be a fun-filled evening of photos, videos and gathering of Portland trail runners, where we’ll have your product on hand for pick up. That will be an opportunity to answer any questions you might have about the Squeeze Pack project too. Any locals who aren’t able to make this event, please let us know, and we’ll arrange for another way to get you your jars and pouches.
For non-Portlander’s, please get in touch via info@trailbutter.com if you’d like your product ahead of the Squeeze Pack delivery. With a tight budget, we’re trying to limit shipping costs, but if you have an urgent need for the TB to use on an upcoming adventure, we’ll find a way to get it to you!
As always, thank you for your understanding and patience over the course of this project. Hope to see many of you on the 28th! Jeff, Brad & Team
