Hello Asylum backers,

We have received word from our finishing facility in Taiwan that our bikes should ship to Portland on October 12th. We are airfreighting our initial batch of orders (Crowd Supply and Pre-orders included) so it shouldn’t take too long for them to reach us in Oregon. It’s likely that the bikes will sit in US Customs for a few days. Luckily, our warehouse and assembly facility is located right by Portland International Airport, so we should receive the frames and forks as soon as they clear.

Then it’s on to assembly, packing, and fulfillment. We have a highly motivated and skilled team of bike builders who will give your Meuse the pro build it deserves. As far as we can tell, we are still on schedule for October delivery. Barring an unforeseen delay in Taiwan, we hope to have your bikes out the door sometime in the final two weeks of October.

For you Portland-area Meuse backers, you have the option of scheduling a pickup, or having your bike shipped right to your doorstep. If we don’t hear from you, we’ll assume the latter and take the necessary steps to ship your bike. For our record keeping purposes, direct all bike pick-up inquiries to: patrick@asylumcycles.com

In other news, with the confirmation of our Meuse order shipment, we have officially ended the pre-order phase of our project. At this point, people can still purchase a Meuse, but the delivery timeframe has changed—expect November—and the price has been changed to MSRP.

We’re getting closer by the day. Can’t wait to get your bikes to you.
