Take Control of Your Sound Experience with an Open Source Hardware Microphone

We are thrilled to announce the launch of our crowdfunding campaign for the ANAVI Dev Mic, an open-source USB-C microphone designed for makers and developers. Built around the powerful Raspberry Pi RP2040 microcontroller and featuring an STMicroelectronics omnidirectional MEMS microphone, the ANAVI Dev Mic is engineered for seamless integration into voice AI and machine learning applications for monitoring environmental noise and voices.

Our open-source firmware takes full advantage of the RP2040’s robust programmable input/output (PIO) capabilities, using Pulse-Density Modulation (PDM) to convert analog signals into binary digital signals. The printed circuit board is meticulously designed with the acclaimed KiCad software. The firmware is based on the open-source Microphone Library for Pico, licensed under Apache-2.0, and the Raspberry Pi Pico C/C++ SDK. All source code and schematics are available on GitHub.

Our crowdfunding goal is a modest $1, and we have already manufactured the first batch of kits in Plovdiv, Bulgaria, leveraging our established and reliable supply chain. Order now and join us in bringing this innovative, entirely open-source project to life!
