As part of our efforts accelerating innovators, Altera was proud to sponsor Crowd Supply Teardown this year. It was great interacting with all the creative and innovative minds at the event. While this is our first Teardown as a sponsor following the launch of the Altera Innovation Lab in May, our devices have made cameos in the past. You might recall the Altera Cyclone FPGA-based Theremin presented by Evan Kahn last year at Teardown 2023.
We were also excited to put some of our hardware into the hands of developers. We provided free MAX10 boards for the Build a $5 FPGA loader workshop where we showed everyone how to drag-n-drop load the FPGA with a Raspberry Pi Pico board and a custom adapter they assembled in the workshop. While the workshop was oversubscribed, we were fortunately able to accommodate everyone who wanted to participate. If you missed out, the parts are not expensive and all the workshop material is available online. The small circuit board is available from OSH Park. We would love to hear what you are doing with the boards.
The event was as educational as it was exciting. We are looking forward to more interaction with the community and would like to encourage everyone to submit their FPGA based ideas to our Altera Innovation Lab at Crowd Supply. We can’t wait to see what we can accomplish together.
