Update on the component samples from the BusKill Team: We’re making good progress.

Magnetic Breakaway Cable

The most difficult component is the furthest along. We’ve selected the vendor and worked with them to create the BusKill magnetic breakaway cable in CAD.

And the CNC’d Injection Mold is complete.

USB Device

We’ve been in contact with 22 potential vendors. Upon review, only three of them had certifications that met our needs. We ordered samples from one of these three which appeared best-suited for BusKill’s needs.

Carabiner

We reached out to 39 vendors. Upon review, three of them appeared to meet our needs. We’ve ordered samples from one of these three which appeared best-suited for BusKill’s needs.

What’s next

We need to test the samples. If they don’t meet our needs, we need to review other vendors. If they do meet our needs, then we can proceed with finding a kitting partner and do our first QA run.
