View Purchasing OptionsProject update 7 of 12
Hello everyone! I want to start by thanking all of our new supporters for the project this week. Thank you very much for putting your trust in it!
Today, I have some great news to share with you. Up until now, the ESP 360 Remote used the STX882 and SRX882 radio modules. However, after speaking directly with the manufacturer of the modules, NiceRF, they recommended using the newer SRX883pro and STX883pro modules, which are smaller and also shielded to reduce interference, making them more durable and reliable over time.
As for the STX883pro transmitter, the pinout remains the same as the old STX882, so it is interchangeable. However, the receiver requires some small modifications. In particular, it has a pitch of 2mm instead of 2.54mm like the SRX882, and the pin arrangement is slightly different. So, there are no major changes. I will still make both pinouts available for the receivers (SRX883pro and SRX882), so if you already have the SRX882 in the 315MHz version, you can still use it as promised. The best part is that all of these changes do not come with any price increase and do not affect the shipping date at all, so you will receive the ESP 360 Remote with the new modules at the same cost and within the same time frame!
I am also excited to welcome you to the fresh, new Discord server for ESP 360 Remote where you can contact me directly for any clarifications or questions of any kind.
We are only a few days away from the end of the campaign, so I want to remind you that if you are interested in the 2-pack, these are the last opportunities to get your hands on it!
I think that’s all for now. Thank you again for your amazing support, wishing everyone the best, and see you in the next update!
